PPL is delighted to announce the appointment of Lisa Larsen as Chief Operating Officer, responsible for developing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company.
As a leading independent public sector consultancy, PPL delivers practical projects promoting health, wellbeing and economic success across the UK.
PPL continues to grow rapidly in response to client demand, and the addition of a COO to PPL’s management team will ensure the consultancy continues to deliver positive outcomes, with increasing impact and scale. Lisa joins PPL with over fifteen years’ consulting experience working with clients across government and voluntary sector agencies to support and promote public value.
Co-founders of PPL, Claire Kennedy and Simon Morioka, are delighted to welcome Lisa to the team: “Lisa’s appointment reflects our rapid growth over the last six and a half years, as well as our ongoing commitment to work with the best talent and clients to achieve high quality, cost-effective and sustainable change across public services in the UK. We are really looking forward to working with Lisa at such a pivotal moment in PPL’s journey”.
Prior to joining PPL Lisa led the UK team of Ramboll Management Consulting, a leading public service consultancy in the Nordic countries. Between 2006 and 2012 she was Director of Operations at Accenture’s Institute for Health and Public Service Value. Lisa managed all operations for the Institute’s global thought-leadership team, including co-developing the programme of research, recruitment and people management, and commissioning, budgeting and financial management.
Lisa comments: “This is an exciting time to be working in the health and social care field with so many challenges and opportunities on the horizon. PPL’s work is at the heart of transforming the health system, delivering cutting-edge projects in partnership with GPs and commissioners. It’s extremely rewarding to be driving forward much-needed improvements to better integrate care and deliver real benefits for patients”.
Preceding her work with Accenture, Lisa worked for six years at the Office for Public Management (OPM) where she was the Associate Director responsible for the Analytical Studies team. In this post she grew the team from three to 25 members and contributed actively to the development of OPM’s growth strategy.
Lisa participates in a number of UK policy networks such as the Evaluation Society, Collaborate and the Women’s Economist Network, and has authored and co-authored numerous published reports and thought pieces. She has also worked on a voluntary basis for the Maya School in Orchha, India, and for Room to Heal and the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School in London.
