Senior Consultant @ PPL
Do you want to be part of improving UK public services, focussing on some of the most exciting and challenging areas of health and care?
Being a senior consultant at PPL means working with clients including the NHS, Local and Central Government, the Voluntary & Community Sector and Social Enterprises, from the boardroom to the frontline.
It means taking responsibility for workstreams, teams, and engaging local stakeholders; including system leaders, managers, frontline professions and the individuals and communities they serve.
It is about supporting transformation of individual outcomes and lives, from developing strategy through to managing and evaluating change.
You would be working with the support of experienced consulting colleagues, healthcare professionals, academics and organisational development experts from our core team and our broader network of over 250 practitioners.
Founded in 2007, PPL is a social enterprise and B Corp which has expanded, based on a 95%+ repeat business rate, to become one of the leading consultancies specialising in public sector transformation in the UK.
We are a supplier to the NHS and Government Crown Commercial Service, and have worked across the UK and the Isle of Man, including as part of the UK pandemic response.
We work on some of the toughest challenges facing our society today – including how we continue to improve long-term mental and physical health and wellbeing for children and young people, adults and older people; and create sustainable public services, fit for the 21st century.
We develop evidence-based change, co-developing solutions with professionals and communities.
As such, we are looking for people who combine professionalism, strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to work sensitively and compassionately with people from all backgrounds, including for those from marginalised groups and deprived communities.
Our mission is to promote better health, wellbeing and economic outcomes across the UK working with individuals, communities and the organisations that support them.
A minimum of half of our profits annually are re-invested in this mission, including through charity partners such as South London Cares, the Children’s Trust, and X-Forces Enterprise.
About the role
We offer a unique opportunity for you to further develop and deploy consultancy skills on a wide range of public sector projects designed to improve outcomes with and for individuals and communities across the UK.
Our structured consulting development programme is certified by the Chartered Management Institute and builds towards full UK Chartered Management Consultant status.
The starting salary for these roles is between £50,000 - £59,000 per annum, along with a benefits package including annual bonus scheme, London travel allowance, company pension, health and life insurance, and ten days of fully paid annual volunteering leave.
Our base is our converted warehouse in SE1, close to Tower Bridge and the River Thames. The majority of our projects currently are based in London and the South-East. Like all consultants, we enjoy being “in the field” – but with a strong commitment to supporting flexible and home working, and having a life outside of work.
