Katlyn joined PPL in September 2018 with a strong background in reearch and analytics, which she has continued to develop through a number of high-profile national and local programmes.
Katlyn worked with NHS Digital, researching and developing recommendations with staff, executives and external stakehodlers around the organisation’s relationships with and support to the social care sector. She has subequently been part of a team providing analytical support to the National Clinical Improvement Programme and NHS Improvement’s Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT); and on local place-based evaluation for the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership.
Prior to joining PPL, Katlyn worked for Walk With Path, where she managed the design and development of a Class I medical device from a user and clinical perspective. She brings experience of academic research, including technical roles conducting experiments, analysing findings and presenting results in a biomedical context; and has published peer-reviewed research in the British Journal of General Practice Open.
Katlyn holds a Masters in Public Health with a specialisation in health services and systems from Imperial College London and a BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience from University College London.
As part of her Masters programme she spent time working in Southwark Council’s public health team to conduct analysis of the primary care prescribing patterns of dependence forming medicines. She also designed and implemented an evaluation of a holiday hunger programme based in the borough.
