Mustafa is a Senior Data Analyst for PPL, bringing specialist data and informatics expertise from various roles in the NHS and extending PPL’s analytics capabilities to provide greater data-led insights to our clients and enabling evidence-based change. Throughout his career, Mustafa has demonstrated a passion for digital innovation, data-driven solutions, and collaborative approaches to advancing healthcare outcomes.
Before joining PPL, Mustafa worked for a number of organisations in the NHS and beyond including South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, South East London ICB, Milton Keynes University Hospital and GE Healthcare. He has held a range of roles which included providing insights through dashboard development, for example the development of Power BI dashboards for Waiting Times and a commissioner-level Mental Health dashboard to enable clinicians to make informed, data-driven decisions. This has included improving data accuracy, streamlining reporting processes and providing insights and real-time data visualizations.
He has served as a Cyber Security Analyst, leading trust-wide threat-hunting initiatives and automating data ingestion using Azure, as well as roles which leveraged his skills in Tableau, Python, and geospatial data aimed at improving the quality-of-care delivery. He has contributed to the procurement of a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, creating benchmarking KPIs to optimise system performance for over 40,000 patients.
Mustafa is an alumnus of the NHS Graduate Management Scheme, where he gained comprehensive experience in health informatics and strategic leadership.
Academically, he holds an MSc in Health Informatics from UCL, a PGCert in Healthcare Leadership from the NHS’s prestigious Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Programme, and a BSc in Accounting and Management from Queen Mary University of London. Mustafa is also Microsoft certified in Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), AI Fundamentals (AI-900), and Power BI (PL-300).
