HR Manager and Consultant
Laura joined PPL in May 2016, and now leads our internal HR team whilst also directly supporting the work of our clients.
Laura is responsible for providing professional HR advice, support and expertise to deliver key organisational and workforce objectives. Covering both the strategic and operational , Laura works at all levels to balance an effective workforce with the best possible employee experience.
Laura is an HR professional who brings extensive experience and understanding of the complexities of working in an operational role, whilst being able to apply consulting expertise to supporting people address the challenges they are facing. She has worked with public and third sector organisations to deliver better outcomes.
Internally, Laura has supported the implementation of GDPR, the development of recruitment and retention strategies, performance management and appraisal systems, as well as ISO 9001, 14001 & 27001 implementation and operation.
Laura is an Associate member of the CIPD and holds a BA (Hons) in Management & Organisation (Human Resource Management) from Lancaster University.
She is a graduate of PPL’s “How We Learn” (HLW) Academy, a CMI (Chartered Management Institute) recognised programme with modules including Project & Programme Management, Change Management, Managing Self, Communication & Storytelling, Presentation Skills, Facilitation Skills, Trust & Influence, Service Improvement & Process Mapping and Research & Interview Skills.
Laura has also completed Catalyst 14, Introduction to Fundamentals of Coaching and the Management Centre Management Development Programme.
