Management consultancy and social enterprise, PPL, has announced the appointment of Kate Simpson as a director.

Kate, most recently co-director of the People Powered Results team at Nesta, is charged with driving the people powered change offer at PPL.

Claire Kennedy, joint chief executive of PPL, explains:

‘Kate joins us from Nesta, where she was instrumental in pioneering new approaches to achieving change and innovation in systems. She brings the experience of leading a high-performance team, who worked with over 500 local and national organisations to create the conditions and cultures required to rapidly adopt new innovations – and to scale what works.

‘PPL is proud to have been one of the original partners with Nesta on the People Powered Health Programme.  We’re delighted to have Kate join us as a director and to be able to continue to support the development with her of this vital work.’

Kate Simpson, director at PPL, continued:

‘I’m thrilled to be joining PPL and to continue my work in people powered change.  We are living through complex times and the need for methods that harness the power of people to achieve positive and lasting change is greater than ever.

‘My focus will be to lead on the delivery of people powered approaches across complex systems, including health and care, local government, communities and organisations.’

If you’d like to hear more about our plans or explore how a people powered approach might support change and innovation efforts in your organisation or place, then please do reach out to us for a conversation.

PPL:

PPL is management consultancy with a difference. We exist to tackle some of the UK’s biggest health and social challenges. We work in partnership to power positive, lasting change.

As a B Corp and Social Enterprise, we do things differently. We deliver impact through our client work, making us one of the Financial Times’ leading UK management consultancies. We commit over a thousand hours of volunteer time every year to causes we care about. And we donate half our profits to our charity partners, making an impact on communities at home and abroad.
