Mark Brooker joined PPL in 2012 and is now a Senior Project Manager within the PPL team, having previously worked extensively in local government in various research, policy development and project management related-roles.
Prior to joining PPL Mark worked as part of the London Research Centre, the Greater London Authority and London Councils. Since joining PPL Mark has continued to develop strong analytical and engagement skills, including in conducting process reviews and supporting the delivery of transformation across a wide range of NHS, local authority and VCSE clients.
Mark was part of the core analytical team on NHS Improvement’s Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) team, has managed cost improvement programmes for large acute Trusts, established PMOs, led on the development of integrated teams of community and social care professionals, and the evaluation of the impact of different homecare models.
Mark has a strong focus on the effective use of technology to improve health and care outcomes. This includes the development of information sharing between health and care organisations and digital systems which support improvements in acute and community care. He was a core member of the team supporting Helpforce to develop their Insight and Impact (I&I) Service, to support health and care services in adopting and evaluating volunteering initiatives as part of improving outcomes for patients and service users, organisations and the volunteers themselves.
Mark holds a BA in Politics & East Asian Studies from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
