Mayara De Paula

Consultant

Mayara is a Consultant with strong project management, co-design and research skills, which she has applied across a broad range of improvement projects in health and care.

At PPL, Mayara has worked with local authorities, Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) and individual NHS Trusts.   She is currently project managing some of our “100-Day Challenge” work, supporting frontline teams in testing new ideas to reduce inequalities in areas such as cardiovascular care.   She has also led work on evaluating Population Health Management approaches, including developing the evaluation framework, monitoring toolkits, and related reporting; as well as design, engagement planning and delivery of simulations working with citizen panels as part of local care partnerships.

Mayara is a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) with a strong interest in food policy, food insecurity and non-communicable diseases, including obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.  Mayara joined PPL from Traverse, where she worked on multi-phased consultations, evaluations, and deliberative engagement projects, analysing qualitative data, conducting interviews, and facilitating workshops with stakeholders and members of the public.

Mayara holds a BSc in Psychology from City University, a Postgraduate Certificate in International Business Development from St Mary’s University Twickenham London, and an MSc in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition from UCL.
