Hamish is a Principal Consultant with extensive analytical, project & programme management, stakeholder engagement and change management experience.
Hamish has led critical research and policy design across the UK and New Zealand governments.
Before joining PPL, Hamish worked at the New Zealand Treasury, designing and delivering multi-disciplinary research and analysis. He was involved in early system design for the reformed New Zealand Resource Management system, working with local and central government. Hamish is committed to co-design and empowerment of marginalised groups, having been nominated for an award for his work in piloting more inclusive analytical frameworks in the New Zealand public service. Within the UK Government, he was a Senior Social Researcher involved designing, leading, and communicating the results of both quantitative and qualitative research projects, alongside partners in industry, academia, local and central government.
A commitment to digital innovation has been a constant throughout Hamish’s career.
Prior to joining the public sector, Hamish worked for a healthcare technology company supporting the social care sector. Across different jurisdictions he has been involved and managed the evaluation and development data sharing agreements, digital transformation programs and business cases; most recently with PPL at one of the largest NHS Acute Trusts in England.
Hamish holds a BA in Experimental Psychology (Somerville College) and a MSc in Pharmacology (New College) from the University of Oxford.
