Over the last decade the increased complexity of our population, coupled with the extraordinary challenges of the pandemic and cost of living crisis, have led to increased demands on social care services.  

This, combined with funding cuts, has led to a situation where the costs of providing services for vulnerable people are increasing at a faster rate than income. Many Councils are facing the dilemma of how to deliver high quality, people-centred services in a sustainable way.   

While social care remains the biggest challenge, other key services, such as housing and special educational needs, need to work effectively to support people to live healthy and happy lives. 

We believe this challenging situation can be overcome by implementing strength based preventative models of care in the long term alongside targeted savings and transformation programmes to tackle the immediate financial pressure.   

We do this by working in partnership with local authority teams. From the development of community focussed strategies, and the design and implementation of target operating models, through to the development and delivery of complex savings and transformation programmes and the operational improvement of services through policy and practice reform.    

We’ve spent almost two decades supporting the development of integrated care pathways across health, social care and wider council services such as housing. And we’ve championed Voluntary and Community Sector organisations and communities in delivering preventative care models, co-producing change with the people who most need support.
